Hi,

Currently we use the ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT to pull in impressions and impression share on a daily basis.

We would like to be able to pull: shopping impressions/impression share and search impressions impression share seperatley

Which report(s) should we use to do this?

Thank you in advance

Hello Reece,

You will be able to use Campaign Performance Report to pull the specified data. The Campaign Performance Report aggregates statistics at the campaign level, one row per campaign. To retrieve metrics for the Shopping campaigns, you will have to filter for rows where AdvertisingChannelType to SHOPPING. You will be able to pull ImpressionsContentImpressionShare and SearchImpressionShare details separately using this report type. If you're looking to get impressions in separate reports for search and display networks, you will have to query these fields in the report definition. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Bharani, AdWords API Team

Hi,

Thank you for your reply! We can get impressions by adding up the impressions for each campaign, but I don't see how we can get SearchImpressionShare using the same principal, as we can't just add the percentages together to get an overall search impression share just for shopping. How can we do this?

Hello Reece,

The SearchImpressionShare is the impressions you've received on the Search Network divided by the estimated number of impressions you were eligible to receive and is calculated as percentage whereas the Impressions is the count of how often the ad has been displayed. I'm afraid it is not possible to pull the SearchImpressionShare with the same logic. However, you can set the skipReportSummary header to false, to include the summary row containing the report totals.

If your concern is specific about the calculation of the field in AdWords UI and showing it in the report (UI). If so, please post your question to AdWords Community Forum as they are more equipped in providing answers to product-related concerns.

Thanks,
Bharani, AdWords API Team
