Dynamic Remarketing List

Hi guys,

I want to ask some questions about Google Dynamic Remarketing List.

I called adwords_api to get data about AdwordsUserListService, and I get some name about dynamic remarketing list as below:  

Shopping cart abandoners (Retail) (AdWords)  

Shopping cart abandoners (Retail) (AdWords) (system-defined)

Shopping cart abandoners

Shopping cart abandoners (system-defined)

Shopping cart abandoners (Retail) (system-defined)

I want to ask 

1. what difference between these five names. 

2. Shopping cart abandoners and 

Shopping cart abandoners (system-defined) means retail type?

3. What are the attributes of dynamic remarketing list?  if I want to get dynamic remarketing list, what attributes should I need to specify. for example, what is  the value of listtype? what is the value of readOnly?

Thank you for reaching out. When talking about Dynamic Remarketing List, are you referring to the Dynamic Remarketing ads or the Remarketing User List? Could you please provide the request and response logs along with the screenshots from the Google Ads UI for us to further investigate?

when I mentioned Dynamic remarketing list, I mean Remarketing User List. In google Ads UI, some Audience were created automatically, showing them in my screenshots. And when I called the AdwordsUserListService for Google Api, I got some data as belows:

General visitors (Retail) (AdWords)  

General visitors (Retail) (AdWords) (system-defined)

General visitors

General visitors (system-defined)

General visitors (Retail) (system-defined) 

I want to ask 

1. what difference between these five names.  what mean for Adwords and what mean for system-defined. 

2.  General visitors  and   General visitors  (system-defined) means retail type?

3. What are the attributes of dynamic remarketing list?  if I want to get dynamic remarketing list in google api, what attributes should I need to specify. for example, what is  the value of listtype? what is the value of readOnly?

Sorry for that I can not give you a complete request and response logs, because our logs don't have these message. I only just want to know something general knowledge about dynamic remarketing list in google Adwords API, could you please help to investigate? 

1. When I called adwords api for AdwordsUserListService, are there some columns to define one userlist  as dynamic remarketing userlist?  If I use “listtype = Unknown AND ReadOnly = true AND name like  'General visitors (Retail) (AdWords) (system-defined)'  ”, can this condition define uselist as dynamic remarketing userlist?

2. about dynamic remarketing list name, I found there are some names as below: (I got these audience names from several google accounts)

     General visitors (Retail) (AdWords)  

     General visitors (Retail) (AdWords) (system-defined)

     General visitors

     General visitors (system-defined)

     General visitors (Retail) (system-defined) 

    (1). I want to ask what is the difference between these five names.  what situation will add system-defined? what situation will add AdWords?

    (2).For 'General visitors' and 'General visitors (system-defined)', there are no business type in name, so I want to ask if google view these two audiences as retail business type by default. 

If you can help me to investigate these questions, that will be very helpful for me. Thanks very much.

1. There is no field to define the dynamic remarketing userlist and your proposal might not work well. 

 

2. If your logs do not have these types returned, how and where did you get them? If you get them from the Google Ads UI, then you need to reach out to the Google Ads Team via this link.

I got these audience name from adwords api. But we don't output request and response message, we only process data got from adwords api and output the processed result.
So I still need to your help. What difference between these five audience name and if there is no business type specified, does that meams retail type?
