How to upload text ads with & symbol without errors

Hello,

I am uploading gmail ads, expanded ads and sitelinks via API and the character counts are exceeded when using the symbol "&". It seems as if the system is uploading the "&" symbol as   which is an issue.

I wanted to know if there was a workaround to this problem...

Hi Josh,

Thank you for reaching out. I just tested and was able to create a 30-character Expanded Text Ad headline that included an ampersand via the API. The Google Ads UI correctly shows this as 30 characters.

Could you please provide the exact error that you are experiencing and the text that seems to be causing it?
