Hello,
We run a service that uses the Google Ads API (Python SDK).
Our users (advertisers) in Japan are reporting the following error in their Google Ads console.
The original error message is in Japanese:
This roughly translates to:
"Enhanced conversion API code is sending data too late. ... Please edit your enhanced conversion API code to send data within 24 hours of the conversion event."
(Note: The Japanese text is the exact message displayed to the user.)
(As service developers, we cannot access our users' specific transmitted data, such as conversion_date_time values, due to our privacy policy.)
We understand this error typically occurs if the time elapsed between the conversion_date_time (conversion occurrence) and the API reception time exceeds 24 hours.
We have one specific question regarding the specification:
Assuming that both the conversion_date_time timestamp and the API request submission are definitely within the 24-hour window,
Are there any other (non-time-related) factors that could still trigger this "sent too late" error?
For example, could a misconfiguration in the Google Ads account settings or the conversion action settings cause this error, even if all timing aspects are correct?
Thank you.
