Hello Ads support!
We are heavy API users and we get very strange reporting result for one of our clients.
We request Geo Performance report, here is a request xml:
<reportDefinition xmlns="https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201802">
            <selector>
            <fields>CampaignId</fields>
<fields>CampaignName</fields>
<fields>CityCriteriaId</fields>
<fields>CountryCriteriaId</fields>
<fields>RegionCriteriaId</fields>
<fields>MetroCriteriaId</fields>
<fields>Date</fields>
<fields>Impressions</fields>
<fields>Clicks</fields>
<fields>Cost</fields>
<fields>Conversions</fields>
<fields>ViewThroughConversions</fields>
<fields>ConversionValue</fields>
<fields>AdNetworkType1</fields>
<fields>VideoViews</fields>
<fields>AllConversions</fields>
<fields>AllConversionValue</fields>
<fields>AveragePosition</fields>
<fields>CrossDeviceConversions</fields>
<fields>Interactions</fields>

            <predicates>
<field>CampaignId</field>
<operator>IN</operator>
<values>my_id_here</values>
</predicates>

            <dateRange>
<min>20180801</min><max>20180831</max></dateRange>
            </selector>
            <reportName>Adwords Geo List</reportName>
            <reportType>GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT</reportType>
            <dateRangeType>CUSTOM_DATE</dateRangeType>
            <downloadFormat>CSV</downloadFormat>
            </reportDefinition>"

We get report successfully, but is doesn't content statistic:
Adwords Geo List (Aug 1, 2018-Aug 31, 2018)"
Campaign ID,Campaign,City,Country/Territory,Region,Metro area,Day,Impressions,Clicks,Cost,Conversions,View-through conv.,Total conv. value,Network,Views,All conv.,All conv. value,Avg. position,Cross-device conv.,Interactions
Total, --, --, --, --, --, --,0,0,0,0.00,0,0.00, --,0,0.00,0.00,0.0, --,0

But we do see Geo statistic for this client and date range in Ads UI.
I'll be happy to provide Customer ID in private massage.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Oksana,

Thank you for providing additional information. Upon checking on your account, it only has one campaign which has zero impressions. The Geo Performance Report does not support zero impressions that is why you were not able to retrieve data from it. If you want to test the report, I would suggest to wait for your campaigns to have impressions or you could use the Campaign Performance Report or other report types which support zero impressions.

Regards,
Luis

Thanks for your help Luis!

I'm copy-pasting here an answer as it could be helpful for other group members:

The type of campaigns that you are using are Universal App Campaigns. This being said, the Geo Performance Report does not support UAC. Currently, the report types available for UAC could be found here. If you want to use a location based report for your UAC, I would suggest to use the Campaign Location Target Report instead.

Hope this clarifies your concern.

Luis

I see in Campaign Performance report Advertising Sub Channel = 'Universal App Campaign' and Advertising Channel = 'Multi Channel' for my Client's Campaign. Could you advice what is the best way to check in Ads UI that Campaign is UAC?

Thanks again, your answer helped me a lot!
Oksana

Hi Oksana,

In AdWords UI, you could determine if your campaign is UAC via the Campaign Type column (if UAC, the value would be "Universal app") and/or Campaign Subtype column which is the equivalent of Advertising Channel and Advertising Sub Channel in the API.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Luis
