Hi

I am querying the AdWords reporting API for an account serving Ads in the UK, using the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

In the Google Analytics API, reporting is possible the the Metro level, which for the UK is TV Regions, however when I want to report at this level in the AdWords API, the metro region is always '--'.

Is there a reason for this omission, is there a way to turn this behaviour on, or am I just missing something?

Many thanks

Mathew

Hi Mathew,

The reason why it showed a '-- 'in your metro area is probably because a "metro" area (that could be related to your targeted location criteria) did not trigger any impressions. See Geographic report sample with missing metro area field here. Could you try generating the report in AdWords UI since the results in the API only reflects the results in the UI? If the results in the UI show a metro area, then it is confirmed that there are discrepancies in your report. If this happens, could you send me your complete report definition along with your clientCustomerId and the screenshot of the UI report via Reply privately to author so I can further look into this?

However, if both results show no "metro" area, and you think that it should still show this field, you could ask the AdWords Community Forum since this is already more on the product level and they are better equipped in assisting from here.

Hope this helps.
