moving from Google Adwords to Google Ads

Hi,

currently we are using Google Adwords API and we start working on moving to use  Google Ads API following are my questions:

 

1. i see that we need to send our refresh token in our request, no need to send the access token, Google will take care of the access token key
2. we are receiving the error :errors {
     error_code {
       authorization_error: MISSING_TOS
     }
     message: "The developer must sign the terms of service. They can be found here: ads.google.com/aw/apicenter"
   }
   1. can i sign the terms of service on the Google Console?
   2. if i already use developer token with exist Credentials (Client id and Client secret) how can sign the terms of service

With Google Ads API, Google will is applying different Terms & Conditions therefore you will have to sign a different T&C.

You won't find this in Google Console but in the Google Ads API - just follow the link in the error message.

If you have multiple accounts: make sure you log in to the MCC containing the developer token. And log in with an account that has administrative permissions.

Pro tip: you may want to take a copy of those T&C, after agreeing you can no longer access it! At least it's gone in the MCC where I agreed...

Hi and thank you for you replay

if i use my App (client_secret, client_id and developer_token) to get data Ads, ADGROUP and GEO performance reports for different accounts

Do i need to applying these Terms & Conditions in all the different accounts or just on the account who make the API calls?

You will just need to accept the Terms and Conditions in the account where you applied for the developer token.

if i lost my Ad console credentials where i have my developer token exist,

how i can  restore these credentials according to my developer token

can google help with that ?

Hello,

If by credentials you mean your client id and secret, you can just generate them by creating them logged in as a user with access to the account with your developer token.

If you mean the actual account, you should reach to the product team and they should be able to get you back access to it. You can contact them through here.
