When creating an ad, it prompts that Mutates are not allowed for the requested resource

I want to copy an adaptive video ad, but when I call the API adGroupAds:mutate method, an error message pops up: Mutates are not allowed for the requested resource. requestId is Fc9VZVs84Pouo3vZpmj85A. Can you help me figure out what the problem is?

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

As per provided information, I understand that you have encountered the MUTATE_NOT_ALLOWED error while using the adGroupAds:mutate method. Kindly note that the video campaigns and their ads are not mutable via the API as described in Differences from the Google Ads UI guide. You will need to find an alternative to placing these ads such as manually placing them through the UI.

I will raise a request for this feature to become available in the Google Ads API. However, I cannot provide a scheduled timeline for its availability in the API. So, I would recommend you to follow our Blog Post and Release Notes for future updates.
