Shared Bidding Strategy ID via API

Hi All,

I am trying to use the Google Adwords API to adjust the maxCpcBidCeiling for a Shared Bidding Target CPA Bid Strategy. https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/BiddingStrategyService.TargetCpaBiddingScheme

One of the required fields to do this correctly is to include the bid strategy 'id'. https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/BiddingStrategyService.SharedBiddingStrategy

Does anyone know of a way to locate/find the 'id' value?

I have tried a few options on my side and each time I receive a blank value, which is not supported by the API.

Hi Joseph,

You should be able to get the bid strategy ID by using the get method in CampaignService. You will need to select the "BiddingStrategyId" field in your selector with a filter on the Campaign.Id field for the campaign you are trying to retrieve the bidding strategy for. The ID should be returned if you have Portfolio strategy associated with the campaign.
