How to get all campaign costs?

Hello,  iam new with this API.

Problem:
I need to get cost of each campaigns i have(for specific data range) as array.

First question:
I can get this data only via ReportDownloader? And only as string or file?
Second question:

How can i add some cost to my testAccounts(without put some real money to this accs) in order to check it correctly?

Here is a list of all supported report formats. You can also stream your data results. Here is an example on how to do so using Java.
