asset_field_type_view metrics mismatch between API and UI

Hi Google Ads team

Please help check why the Google Ads UI and API metrics of asset_field_type_view like impression, clicks is different from each other?

Here's the query:

SELECT segments.date,campaign.id,ad_group.id,metrics.impressions,metrics.clicks,metrics.cost_micros,asset_field_type_view.field_type,metrics.video_views,metrics.cross_device_conversions FROM asset_field_type_view  WHERE segments.date >= '2025-03-05' AND segments.date <= '2025-03-05' AND metrics.impressions > 0 AND campaign.id in ('21080449403')

As per the provided screenshot, probably you can use the below GAQL query.

• SELECT asset.name, asset.type, ad_group_asset.status, ad_group_asset.source, metrics.clicks, metrics.impressions, metrics.ctr, metrics.average_cpc, metrics.cost_micros, campaign.id, ad_group.id FROM ad_group_asset WHERE campaign.id = 21080449403 AND ad_group.id = 165313991408 AND segments.date = '2025-03-25'

I was trying to get the metrics in Total lines, like Total: Sitelinks, Total: Callouts, Total: Structured snippets. It is said to be non-overcounted metrics, that's why I query from view asset_field_type_view, not ad_group_asset view.

Hello,

In general, for all tables in the UI, the API does not provide those total breakdowns. You would need to implement that logic yourself. The only thing we do  provide is a general summary row that adds up all the values of the rows that come back that you can optionally choose to request.

Hi Google Ads team,

I don't want to get summary of all the rows of asset table. What I want is the Total rows in the UI screenshot that I sent you.

Previously, I have asked a question which is relevant to this one here: https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/t746T7rnM0w/m/QplwJrw0AQAJ and seems to get the non-overcounted metrics, I need to use the view asset_field_type_view

Until now, the data returned from asset_field_type_view has been consistent until I check and found this. So an you help check?
