How to use google adwords api gets keyword Monthly SearchVolume for the past few years

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Team.

I would like to clarify that, when using the GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetricsRequest, the historical_metrics_options field is the options for historical metrics data. If the year_month_range is not specified, metrics for the past 12 months are returned. Please note that search metrics are available for the past 4 years. If the search volume is not available for the entire year_month_range provided, the subset of the year month range for which search volume is available is returned.
