AdGroup Criteria for Location and Platform

Hi,

I can see that 

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v6/ad_group_criterion#ad_group_criterion.type

We can set criteriaType for LOCATION and DEVICE, but i am not seeing the field how I can retrive that?

 

I need to get criteria for this

 'LOCATION', 'PLATFORM' Can I know which field I need to set in SELECT?

How I can read this?

Hello,

Device can only be set only the campaign level, so you will find its data on the campaign_criterion report. Location data can be found in the location_view report. 

If you look at the Configuration column on the link you shared, you will see at what level each criterion can be set and whether they can be targeted or excluded.

Hi Anthony,

How I could get location with ad_group_criterion view?

Doc said we can set enum but what can be field in SELECT? I can see campaign_criterion has fields like campaign_criterion.location.geo_target_constant but not seen similar field for ad_group_criterion view. 

You also mean If I need to get Location at ad_group level I need to use location_view? If yes how I can differentiate it is campaign level or ad_group level or account level location set.

Hi,

You can use the ad_group_criterion.type field to see whether it is a location type. However, additional location details are not supported or available.

The location_view specializes in location criteria targeted by a campaign. Adgroup association is not supported in this report. I would recommend that you check out the geographic_view as well, to be able to learn more on how you can associate location metrics to a specific entity. This view however does not indicate whether the location is targeted by a specific entity.

As for your "I also wanted to get LocationBidAdjustment at campaign and adgroup level." inquiry, there is no LocationBidAdjustment field, however, you can refer here for more information on how to retrieve bid adjustments for a specific criterion_id.
