to Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
One of our customers received a message from Google Ads support in which the support agent claims the following (when answering why their campaign is stuck pending approval):
"After checking your concern with the dedicated team, I want to let you know that the ad type is 'Universal express ad' in the smart campaign. Please be informed that Universal Express Ads are not meant to serve, they are also not going through our ad review pipelines and as a result they are expected to always remain in 'Under review' status in the Google Ads ac. Universal express ads being under review have no impact on Smart Campaign serving as they are reporting entities only."
However, we programmatically created this Smart Campaign and I have verified that the `ad_group_ad.ad.type` is `SMART_CAMPAIGN_AD`. There doesn't appear to be any documentation online that mentions anything related to "Universal express ads".
Is there any relevant API documentation or further info as to the validity of the agent's claim? All of our other running campaigns were generated in the same manner and are functioning normally.
