We are seeing some inconsistent numbers between our inhouse reporting tool, and the AdWords UI. I have pinpointed what appears to be the issue. Let's say a Product Group was deleted on Dec 11:
AdWords UI will continue to show the metrics e.g. cost, for that product group, leading up to the time it was deleted
The Criteria Performance Report returned via the API instead returns 0s for all historical data for the same product group
Is this intended behaviour? And is there a way in which we can still access the historical data for a deleted product group via the API e.g. does the Shopping Performance Report behave differently?
