google.ads.googleads.v10.services.GoogleAdsService.Search alternative

We use the google.ads.googleads.v10.services.GoogleAdsService.Search to fetch customer details.

Maybe I am missing it in the documentation but we are searching for an alternative to make just fetch it by a customer get. But can not find it in the documentation.

The search REST endpoint is giving a 403 when we use the search endpoint at certain customers. Could this be an permissions issue.

With regards to your concern, you may refer to this documentation GoogleAdsService. To get methods have been removed. Any service that exclusively had a get method has been removed as well. The primary way to retrieve objects continues to be using GoogleAdsService's search and searchStream methods.
 

Also, for this concern "The search REST endpoint is giving a 403 when we use the search endpoint at certain customers. Could this be an permissions issue." ? Can you provide the complete Ads API logs (request and response with request-id) to further investigation to this concern?

We used the managed account to execute the search. But when we used the actual customer id account it worked.

Hi Stef,

I would recommend checking the login customer ID guide. If you specified a login customer ID for an account that the authenticating user does not have direct access to, then a permissions error will be thrown.
