hello.  I have connected my companies data to a big query instance via an api connection.

from my understanding, the metrics.average_cost is the column used to determine total daily spend on Google Ads.  The numbers appear to be very off from our actual spend or the spend reported in the google ads reporting tab.

what field is available via the api to determine the total spend on a given day?

thanks,

nick

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I would recommend you to refer to the metrics.cost_micros to determine total daily spend on Google Ads via Google Ads API. It gives the sum of your cost-per-click (CPC) and cost-per-thousand impressions (CPM) costs during the given period.

Hope this helps. If you have any more queries, please feel free to get back to us.
