Hi there,

I am wondering if there are differences in the URL between the final URL set at the Ad level and at the Keyword Level?

I know that there is the field finalurls field in the AdGroupCriterionService, and I assume that applies to final urls at the ad level. Is this correct? Is there a field at the Keyword Level?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

FinalUrls can indeed be set at both the criterion (e.g. keyword) level and at the ad level separately. However, if for example your keyword and ad both have finalUrls, then the keyword's finalUrl will be prioritized. You may find out more about how finalUrls are used in this section of our Upgraded URLs guide. Let me know if this is what you're looking for.

Best regards,

Hi Peter,

If I am getting the FinalUrl field described above, will I be able to determine if the FinalUrl is set at the keyword level or at the ad level? It looks like the field is available in the AdGroupCriterionService.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

There is currently no direct way to determine if the FinalUrl was set in any of the levels mentioned. You will need to make calls using either the AdGroupCriterionService.get or the AdGroupAdService.get to identify whether the criterion or the ad contains a FinalUrl.

Thanks and regards,
Peter
