Dear Fellow,

I'm trying to migrate "MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd" from Adwords API to the new GoogleAds "ResponsiveDisplayAd". Where need to upload the AdImageAsset like: Marketing Images , Square Marketing Images and Logo Images,

I'm facing any issue with the logo images, because in the Adwords API were we able to upload square images but in the new GoogleAds API. We have only one option that is 512x128.

I am little worried about my old uploaded assets data on the Adwords.

I wanted to know that what will happen with my old assets data that already be uploaded on the Adwords and now uploading new logos.

  • It will conflict with the old assets or
  • it will be deleted or automatically managed by google or
  • We need to upload assets again.

because the dimension has been changed in the new GoogleAds API, what will happen with the old data ?

Adwords Logo Dimensions:
  • Minimum dimensions: 128x128 pixels
  • Greater than minimum dimensions: Within 1% of the 1:1 ratio
  • Suggested dimensions: 1200x1200 pixels

Google Ads Logo Dimensions
  • Logo images to be used in the ad. Valid image types are GIF, JPEG, and PNG. The minimum size is 512x128 and the aspect ratio must be 4:1 (+-1%). Combined with square_logo_images, the maximum is 5.

Hi Ashutosh,

Thank you for posting your concern.

To answer your concern on the old assets in general, these should remain as is. However, when you manage them via the Google Ads API, you may note that the dimensions should conform to the new standard moving forward.

For the scenario when creating new assets via the Google Ads API and if you are looking for a field where you can set the square logo or 1:1 dimension logo, then you will need to upload it in the square_logo_images[] field of the ResponsiveDisplayAdInfo.
