I have Basic Access to Google Ads API, I applied for App Conversion Tracking and Remarketing API, during my application process.

Issue:
When I try and enter my Google Ads account ID (which has access to Google Ads API) in the "Link third-party app analytics to Google Ads?" section of another Google Ads account it shows "The Provider ID that you entered isn't valid."

I'm not sure if the Account ID of the Google Ads account that has the developer API access is the same as the Provider ID or not. Please let me know incase it's different and from where exactly I can get the Provider ID.

Incase it's because it takes 2 weeks for this process to happen do let me know if I'm supposed to use my Account ID as the Provider ID or not and if I'll get notified when my account is ready for this use case. (Check second screenshot for reference)

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that provider ID is the unique identifier of your app analytics provider. If you don’t know the ID, ask your provider or, if you’re developing your own app analytics integration, refer to the instructions for finding the ID in the Developers Guide. In addition, there's an AccountLinkService in Google Ads API which allows management of links between Google Ads accounts and other accounts. The CreateAccountLink method accepts a CreateAccountLinkRequest where you can specify an AccountLink object. Here you may specify the ThirdPartyAppAnalyticsLinkIdentifier to set the identifiers of a Third Party App Analytics Link.

Also, I understand that you've encountered the error "The Provider ID you entered is not valid" while trying to link a third-party app analytics provider and Google Ads. I would recommend that you reach out to the Google Ads Product support team as they are better equipped to assist you further. Kindly note that your concern is out of scope for our team and we can only assist with queries or concerns related to the Google Ads API.
