The Discovery Campaign doesn't retrieve

Hi Google Ads Team,

We've faced the following issue with the DISCOVERY campaign.advertising_channel_type, the campaign is available on the Google Ads UI, however, it's not retrieved using v12 Google Ads API.

The query example (campaign level):

However, in the v12 API, the DISCOVERY type looks like available - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v12/AdvertisingChannelTypeEnum.AdvertisingChannelType

Could you please specify on which level (campaign, ad_group, ad_group_ad, etc.) the DISCOVERY campaigns should be available?

Thanks for reaching out. Discovery campaign creation and reporting is supported in the Google Ads API. Please see this page that discusses reporting. You should be able to report on each level specified in your post. 

Can you please try executing the simple query to ensure these campaigns are being returned in your account?

SELECT
  campaign.id,
  campaign.status,
  campaign.bidding_strategy_type
FROM campaign
WHERE campaign.advertising_channel_type = DISCOVERY
