Get effective status of Ad Groups and Ads

Both AdGroup and Ad have a field called STATUS which tells whether AdGroup/Ad is paused, enabled etc. However on AdWords dashboard I can see the status as "Campaign Paused", "Limited by Budget" etc. Is there any way I can obtain this "effective status" or do I have to manually figure this out? Are the rules for calculating "effective status" listed somewhere?

Hi Anshu,

The "Limited by Budget" status as seen in the AdWords UI is available only at the campaign level and there is also currently no way to determine via the AdWords API the rules and the calculations on how these statuses are defined. If you wish to get more information on how the statuses are calculated, I would recommend that you try and get in touch with the AdWords Community Forum.
