We have issues with campaigns supporting tracking URL settings in new Google Ads API

Hi,

While migrating to Google Ads API we are experiencing some trouble with some campaign types not supporting tracking URL settings.

It would be very helpful if you could provide a list of campaigns (or guide to existing documentation) that do support tracking URL settings. Specifically we face some problems with Local campaigns, Smart Shopping campaigns and Performance Max.

Could you tell us which tracking URL settings aren't working for you and can you privately send us 'DEBUG' log level request and response logs of API communication showing the tracking URL settings not working, combined with a full screen screenshot of the UI showing the tracking URL functionality working?

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST documentation with additional headers and information such as request Id. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging”.

If you are using our REST interface then the full multi line curl command line is a request log and adding curl command line option '-i' will also generate a response log.

You may reach out to product support for assistance which tracking URL settings fit for which campaign types.
