Issue with Extracting Cost Column from Google Ads API

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have encountered while working with the Google Ads API.

I have been utilizing the API to extract data related to campaigns and their respective metrics. However, I have encountered difficulties in accurately retrieving the cost column data. Specifically, the cost column obtained through API calls does not align with the cost column data displayed in the Google Kinnect platform.

Despite following the documented procedures and guidelines for API usage, I consistently encounter this discrepancy. As accurate cost data is crucial for our analysis and reporting, this inconsistency poses a significant challenge for our operations.

Could you please investigate this issue and provide guidance on how to ensure that the cost column extracted via API accurately reflects the data displayed in the Google Kinnect platform?

Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. If there are any additional details or information needed from my end to facilitate the investigation, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you have encountered data discrepancy with the cost metrics report views.

In order to assist you further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end and uncropped Google Ads account UI screenshot with better visibility of the customer ID of where you are facing the discrepancies. Also, could you confirm whether you are comparing the data with Google Ads UI or Google Kinnect platform? 

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.
