Hi Google AdsWords Support Team,

I am working as a Marketing Analytics Manager at TetraPak, and we are using Google Ads API In bringing the data from Google Ads. My Project Details are as below :-

Project Name :- 

Currently we are using OAuth 2.0 Client IDs and the issue which are facing is regarding the refresh token validity. Can you please help me in answering the below questions -

1) What is the validity period  for refresh token, since my app is in Testing Mode and External ?
2) How can we increase the validity in case its very less or make this as a Production App.
3) Apart from that we are trying to setup service accounts, for accessing the Google Ads Data. Unfortunately below error I am getting

googleads.errors.GoogleAdsServerFault: [AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER @ ; trigger:'<null>']

4) Not able to login to Google Ads Manager

Can you please help us for the above queries.

I'm Kevin from the Google Ads API Team. Let me try my best to assist you with your concerns.

 

1) What is the validity period for refresh token, since my app is in Testing Mode and External ?

Based on this documentation, a Google Cloud Platform project with an OAuth consent screen configured for an external user type and a publishing status of "Testing" is issued a refresh token expiring in 7 days.

 

2) How can we increase the validity in case its very less or make this as a Production App.

You may refer to this Help Center article on how to modify the user type and publishing status of your Google Cloud Project's OAuth consent screen.

 

3) Apart from that we are trying to setup service accounts, for accessing the Google Ads Data. Unfortunately below error I am getting googleads.errors.GoogleAdsServerFault: [AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER @ ; trigger:'<null>']

Can you please confirm if you've all the prerequisites in using service accounts for Google Ads API and if you've completed all the steps in setting up a service account? If your service account has been correctly configured, please provide the complete request and response logs with request ID where you have encountered an error as well as the the user account/email address that you're trying to setup so I can better investigate your concern.

4) Not able to login to Google Ads Manager https://admanager.google.com/home/?authuser=0

You may reach out to the Ad Manager product support team to get assistance on logging in to the Ad Manager web interface.

Could you confirm if you have sent a private email to this email alias googleadsa...@google.com? If yes, could you provide the subject of that email address and exact date and time you've sent it so that our team can check?

Hello,

I've heard back from the team. They mentioned that your app is now verified for domain association. However, they sent an email on December 11 detailing one more change you'll need to make to your application name to be compliant. Here are some more details:
What the project is now pending is action regarding their display name of which is TetraPak_Google_Credentials.  Since the name includes Google without any indicators of disassociation of their product to Google's brand, the team had sent them a COM requesting they update the display name to be compliant.

Make sure you check your contact email for their complete instructions. If you haven't received the email, you can provide me with a good contact address by responding privately and I'll forward it to them and they can resend the instructions.

Hello,

As my team has no expertise on this topic and is just acting as an intermediary to the verification team, I suggest you find the email they sent you with complete instructions. If I were to guess, I imagine that now that you've updated to be compliant you could submit for verification again.
