In Google Ads API, when finalUrls contains more than two URLs, which one is displayed in the ad? Does Google always use the last (most recently added) URL, or is there a specific rule that determines which URL is shown?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

In the Google Ads API, when utilizing the adGroupAds.mutate method to create an advertisement and specifying multiple URLs within the “finalUrls” field, the system will prioritize and display the initial URL provided in the finalUrls list within the generated advertisement.

Thanks,

Then, when registering a keyword with the same keyword name using mutate create, the finalUrl appears to be changed. However, in the UI, the first (0th) URL is displayed. In this case, I would like to know whether the change has actually been applied.

1. create keyword (FINALURL) : https://ads.google.com create
CREATE_KEYWORD_before.PNG

create_변경내역.PNG

2. same keyword (FINALURL) create : https://ads.google.com/test2 change
create_변경내역2.PNG

api response
finalUrl_response.PNG
The change history shows that it has been modified. Should it be considered that the second URL has been applied?

Hi,

To assist you further, could you please provide us with complete API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Thanks,
