Hi all,

Imagine a campaign where you're including specific regions as well as regions defined as lat/long/radius.

Say on Monday you've got one location defined as (-37,170) and radius 60km.

Wedensday, you delete that location from the campaign, due to operational reasons.
Friday, things change and you re-add it.

Now, my suspicion is that each time you add it you get a new criterion id assigned to it. Which means, you won't be able to see the stats from when it was previously included.

Looking in the adwords GUI, I can see a campaign total spend, a location spend and a other location spend, which I suspect comprises all of the other times that location was added.

How can I get the historical spend for that location?

Hi Laurie,

Thank you for providing more details to your concern.

As for the "How can I get the historical spend for that location?", from the Google Ads API perspective, you can get the historical metrics of the proximities / radius in your account using the location_view.

With regard to the scenario that you mentioned, I would suggest raising it to the product team via this link as it is more product specific and they are more equipped to provide support to this topic.
