Hi, I'm trying to change my account budget and I get

Thank you for posting your concern.

So that I can check the exact error that your API request encountered and to address it, would you be able to provide the complete request and response logs with request ID generated on your end?

If you haven't enabled the logging of the API transactions for the specific client library that you are using, then please refer to the specific guide below:

Hi Roman,

You need to reach out to the Google Ads product support to get this resolved. The underlying error is CUSTOMER_BUDGET_ERROR_CUSTOMER_NEEDS_INTERNAL_APPROVAL, which is not something we can resolve from the API side.

I'll separately discuss with the relevant teams whether we want this error exposed in the public API (and if yes, what's a more developer friendly name / description for it).
