Linking the Google Business Account to the Google Ads Account over the API

Hello everyone,

we manage multiple Google Ads accounts under our Management Google Ads account. These accounts have their own Google My Business account. We want to access their location information to use it as an asset for location extension. I have looked at the API of both services and think I can somehow accomplish this goal. One step before retrieving the data is linking both accounts and that is just the challenge for me. Is it possible to do this via API? I have seen that Google Business API offers some methods to accept/decline the invitations (e.g. from GoogleAds). But I don't know how to send an invitation from GoogleAds via the API (via the GUI I know, but for the API I could not find any info in the documentation). Can you please tell me if this is at all possible? And if so, can you please give me some links to the relevant pages in the documentation so that I can look into it. I saw some other posts in the forum. They were either old or unanswered.

I would recommend you refer to the Help Center article link for more information about linking your Google Business Profile to Google Ads. Additionally, I would recommend you reaching out to the Google Ads Product support team, as they are better equipped to address your concerns. Please note that we can support only Google Ads API concerns and technical issues.

Thank you so much for your fast response. I went through the article of the Help Center before asking the question. As I mentioned earlier we can link two acounts manually via the Google Ads UI (without any problem). But we want automate this process and for reaching this goal we need to know if this can be done via the API. We have the following process for linking both acounts over the UI (simplified):

1. Sending a request/invitation from the Google Ads Account

2. Accepting/Declining the request/invitation inside the Google Business account

We can accompolish the second step by using the Google My Business API. But we are unsure whether we can do the first step over the Google Ads API beacuse it is not documented and we can not find any resources in the API reference (or any notes on that in the release notes) to achieve this goal. Thank you so much for sending the link to the Google Ads Support. I think that they can not help us because it is a techincal topic related to the API.
