Not able to Login into the Account using the Adwords API

I do have an Adword account which I am able to access through the
webpage displayed by the Google Adwords , but when I try using the
same Account Progmatically i.e using the Webservice Provided by the
google I am not able to access my account. It gives me invalid user ID
and password . So do I need to create a seperate account for the
sandbox API's ,if yes how do I do that? . Please respond me as soon as
possible
