Search Insights (Beta) API?

Hey all,

Had a client reach out to me with this request -- does anyone work with Search Insights API?

Our developer is having trouble accessing the Google API for the Search Insights (Beta) feature within Google Ads RSAs. Specifically, we're having the following issue with the API for Search Insights:

• When our tech person tried the following ("SELECT metrics.clicks FROM customer_search_term_insight"), they received the following error messages: 
  • "INVALID_ARGUMENT (400)Request contains an invalid argument." And 
  • " Error in customer_search_term_insight: is not a valid resource name."

Sounds like a bug. And we know this is a new addition within Google's API (released last month). Any chance you can nudge the Tech Team to see what's going on? Or whether there's an alternative way to get the Search Insights data?
