How can I retrieve campaign metrics segmented by criteria?

How can I retrieve campaign metrics segmented by criteria? For example, CTR by geo-locations or conversions by gender?  

I can query metrics here:

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v18/campaign_query_builder

But I couldn't figure out a way to get metrics segmented by criteria.
