API and transaction ID

Hello,

I'm starting with the GoogleAds API and the PHP V8 library. I'm interested in reporting and I can get campaign data. 

I would like get info about transaction to join with eCommerce (Magento) data but I don't know if it is even possible. There is some dimension to get the eCommerce transactionId as ga:transactionId in Google Analytics or any unique ID from eCommerce?

I'm consulting https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs and I would say there is not, but I want to confirm.

Please note that our team's specialty is Google Ads API / AdWords API only, with this, I am afraid that we are not familiar with the other eCommerce platform and Google Analytics. That said, could you provide more details to this field and where it is used so that I can check if this is possible to retrieve using the said APIs?

Also, is this transaction Id can be seen in the Google Ads UI? If yes, please provide screenshot of the UI where we can see this. You can provide it via Reply privately to author option if the screenshot contains confidential information. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

It is in the Google Ads API where I want to find this field, but I don't know if it exists. My idea is to get orders from eCommerce (Magento or any other) and try to identify the orders obtained by a Google Ads campaign and associate the order with the campaign. This information is not in the eCommerce and I want to know if it is possible to retrieve it from Google Ads API by some shared ID.

I have not seen any such value in the Google Ads UI.

My guess was that, if it exists, this should be in conversion_action, but I didn't find it.

In Magento (or any ecommerce) it will be the orders endpoint

In Google Analytics the equivalent is ga:transactionId. This dimension have the eCommerce orderID.

Hi Antonio,

The AdWords / Google Ads API only mirrors features, metrics, or values available from the Google Ads UI. If such information is not available via the Google Ads UI, then it is most likely not available as well in the API.

That being said, our team also cannot provide further comment on the availability of values present in other platforms such as Magento and Google Analytics, as these are already outside of our API team's scope.

You may clarify with the Google Ads Product Support team, via this link, if the information you are looking for is available on the UI. If it is, you may get back to us with the screenshots of the UI containing the said information so that our team may then create a feature request, that will be subject for review.
