We're using exactly the API script pulled from these docs:

But we get an empty response. See attachment for the empty [] response, but the script clearly expects to be able to print some confirmed fields.

Also, we uploaded some real conversions (real gclids and times for the given conversion action) but they don't show up in the console. However, manual uploads work.

We're looking into using the scheduled upload from an sftp server, but that's pretty inconvenient. Is there some advice you can give us to get our API call to work?

Thanks in advance,
Eli

Hi Eli,

Thanks for reaching out. We recommend you use one of our supported client libraries to call the API. If you are using one of these libraries already, please respond to us privately with the unredacted request and response logs for this attempt (please send them as a text file, rather than a screenshot).

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for the response. Yes we're using the supported Python Google Ads SDK. If you click the link in my first comment, it will take you to the script we've copied exactly to call the API.

Can you specify how I can respond to you privately? This is my first time posting in the forum.

Thanks!

Hi Eli,

Thanks for getting back to us.

So our team can investigate further, could you please provide us with the complete request and response logs, with the request-id when you encountered the issue?

If logging is not yet enabled, you may do so by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Python) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author option( click on 3 vertical dots on the right hand side). If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Hi Eli,

Thank you for all the information you have provided so far to our team.

However, the logs that you sent over privately appear to be incomplete. The logs should appear similar to the ones from the links (complete request and response logs, with the request-id ) that Yasar earlier provided.

That said, in the Python logging guide, could you confirm if you have also set the log level to debug? If you continue to encounter issues with the logging, you may reach out to the Python library owners, via this link, for further assistance.

Once the logs are available, you may send those to us privately once more, or via our (googleadsa...@google.com) alias, so our team can continue investigating the conversion upload issue you are encountering.

Best regards,

Oh I had it in INFO. When I changed it to DEBUG, it showed me that the error was that my timestamp was in the wrong format. After fixing that, the API is working! Thank you.

Hello Eli,

Thanks for getting back to us.

It's good to hear that the API is now working on your end.

For further API issues/errors, please share to us the complete logs ( request and response, with the request-id ) privately or via our (googleadsa...@google.com) alias for a faster checking on our end.

Regards,
