Hi Folks,

I only seem to get house adverts from Adwhirl. I am not getting any
adverts from Admob. I am getting the following error message: -

06-05 23:48:24.889: INFO/Ads(7356): onFailedToReceiveAd(Ad request
successful, but no ad returned due to lack of ad inventory.)

I set up a house advert in Admob so that I should at least get that if
there are no adverts in my area, but it gives the same error.

I have added GoogleAdmobAdsSdk-4.1.0.jar to the build path in the lib
directory along with AdWhirlSDK_Android_3.0.0.jar.

I have added the following to the manifest: -

<activity android:name="com.google.ads.AdActivity"
android:configChanges="keyboard|keyboardHidden|
orientation"/>

My permissions are: -

<uses-permission
android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION" />
<uses-permission
android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" />
<uses-permission
android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_LOCATION_EXTRA_COMMANDS" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission
android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />

I've checked that the publisher id in Adwhirl is correct.

Is there anything I have missed?
Thanks for your help
All the best,
Ash

It sounds like you have everything set up correctly.  How long did you wait after creating an admob house ad before testing?  I imagine it takes some time for those creatives to get pushed into their system.

Other than that, the lack of ad fill is just a part of life with these things.  You can help alleviate it somewhat by enabling AdSense backfill in your AdMob settings.

Cheers,
Wes

Hi Wes,

I went directly to Admob and I am getting 98% fill, so there must be a
problem somewhere. 1300 impressions in the 8 hours since it was
released.

I think I will probably stick with going directly with Admob for the
moment.

All the best,
Ash
