Virtual Working Session for USDA Racial Equity Comment Solicitation

As many of you may already know, the USDA is requesting comments from the public regarding any barriers BIPOC folks have experienced in accessing the USDA's financial and technical resources. Comments can include (but are not limited to) feedback on equity issues around funding opportunities, resources for technical training, SNAP funds and other food assistance programs. This is also not limited to farmers specifically, this includes all people who work within the food supply chain.
CFPAC will be submitting a letter with our comments, and you're invited to provide input! We're also encouraging folks to submit their own comments. Here is our working draft of the racial equity comments we’ll be submitting.
If you’d like to provide input or feedback, you can leave comments on the document above or join us for a virtual working session today, August 11th from 5-6:30pm. Registration is required to join the zoom.
