Cook County Farm Bureau’s 5th Annual Farm Crawl
Saturday September 11, 2021
The U of I Extension Cook Co. Research and Demonstration Farm will be open for informal tours from 10 am - 2 pm, along with twenty two other farm stands, farms, greenhouses, garden centers & feed stores.
The Demonstration Farm is located at 4821 Southwick Drive, Matteson, IL at Prairie State College's Matteson Area Center. Please wear sturdy closed toe shoes and dress for the weather.

MOSES Organic Field Day
Saturday September 18, 11 am – 1 pm
Join us for an inspiring field day with Sustain DuPage, one of the 2021 MOSES Changemakers! This educational nonprofit focuses on promoting sustainability in Wheaton, IL. Come and see how they utilize their organic, urban-sized market garden as a teaching space to promote sustainable food and agricultural practices, while supporting native wildlife, inspiring political change, and building community in the Chicago suburbs.

McHenry Country Farm Crawl
Sept. 26, 2021, 10 am – 4 pm
A family-friendly, free, self-guided tour of McHenry county’s diversified family farms. A total of 12 farms will be part of this educational agriculture-centric tour. Fruit and vegetable growers, dairy cows, beef cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, horses, honey bees, perennial plants and more will be featured.
