Please join us for the 8th Annual KAMII MLK Food Justice and Sustainability Weekend. The theme this year is "Climate Change and Water". The weekend long program begins Friday night January 13 and runs through Sunday afternoon January 15. Highlights include a keynote address by Karen Lehman, a community design workshop where a food forest for the roof of a big box store will be drawn up and seventeen different workshops on such topics as urban water contamination, cover crops, soil moisture and biochar, cultivating soil microbes, the carbon cycle, and food as medicine. Please go to www.KAMII.org/MLK for details, to see a list of all the wonderful weekend presenters and to register. And remember, the entire weekend is free of charge. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
