Hi everyone!
Well, it’s countdown to our Advocacy meeting next Tuesday and White Coat Wednesday. We have 39 signed up so far which is awesome!
In case some of you will not be able to make the meetings Tuesday afternoon, we will convene Wednesday morning at the Marriott City Center in the Congressional Room at 7:30. We’ll have some pick-up food for breakfast and get a final debriefing before heading over to the General Assembly. You can park your car at the NCMS and walk from there.
The Advocacy committee will be scheduling appointments for you with your legislators and will hand out those schedules Wednesday morning. We do have a scheduled appointment with Speaker Thom Tillis at 9:30 so we’ll be scheduling your visits around this appointment. Of course, you are welcome to schedule appointments yourself if there are legislators that you know and want to meet with (let me know if that’s the case).
Lastly, for those who may not have anyone else from your city to buddy up with, we can match you up with a seasoned veteran to go with you to your appointments. Often times, the appointments go out the window because of last minute meetings but anyone we have the opportunity to get in front of is worthwhile (even if we walk with them to or from a meeting).
