One last thing to share before the weekend:
Dear MGMA state legislative liaisons,
I am happy to introduce myself as your new Government Affairs Representative.
I thought that I would begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I recently graduated from George Mason University School of Law, and before that, I received a degree in Psychology and English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. During law school, I interned with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Departmental Appeals Board, where I analyzed appeals for Medicare coverage. I also gained experience drafting health care agreements and researching relevant legislation and regulations as a legal intern at Inova Health System in Northern Virginia. I look forward to applying this knowledge and experience to my role as Government Affairs Representative.
Jennifer Martin, your current Government Affairs Representative, is transitioning into a new role with MGMA, and going forward, I will be your new point of contact. I am excited to begin working with and meeting all of you! Jennifer is shifting to a new role in the government affairs department which will focus on Medicare physician payment and quality issues. This new role will have her spending more time in Washington, D.C. and on Capitol Hill, but she sends her well wishes to you all and will miss visiting with you in your respective states!
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time to say hello or with any questions that you may have. I look forward to working with and meeting all of you in the near future!
Best,
Jennifer
