Sponsorship: Which organizations may be willing to fund this event?

Howdy All,

Local organizing teams will be able to raise their own funds, but we
would like to help them as a Central Planning Team. Sponsorship money
that we collect will be sent to local organizing teams according to
how many people they sign up by a certain date.

Also, our Lead Facilitation Coordinator (Lisa Heft) will conduct two 2-
day, in-person facilitation trainings (one on the East Coast and one
on the West Coast) to help prepare local facilitators that may not
have much experience designing collaborative events. We will need
money to make this happen; the plan is to give a $1000 stipend to each
participant so they can cover their travel and lodging costs.

Q1: Do you have any suggestions for how to raise money for the
summits?
Q2: Does it make sense to help local teams raise money or is it too
much trouble?
Q3: Do you know anyone with great fundraising skills?
