Publications: The Publications Division publishes a host of books every month. Its main aim is to get books covering a large variety available to everyone at an affordable price. This month's publication includes:
Indian Folk Tales: This book by Mulk Raj Anand consists of eight delectable stories, forming part of Indian folk tales and journeying through many a generation. These have been handed down to us by our imaginative Indian storytellers with their gods, heroes, demons, witches, fairies, birds, beasts and flowers in our folk literature. The author has presented these stories in his unique style. Though meant for children, the tales entertain and educate everyone.
Bhagat Singh : Amar Vidrohi (Punjabi): The place of Bhagat Singh is unique in the annals of our freedom struggle Born in a family of patriots and revolutionaries he and his venerable comrades grew in an atmosphere surcharged with nationalistic and revolutionary fervour. Throughout the short span of his sparkling life, he pursued his fight against the British rule and also against all forms of exploitation. Finally, he and his brave compatriots kissed the gallows with the dreams of Inquilab - the stage of total transformation to a just and humane society.

Buddha Purnima: Also known as Buddha Jayanti, this festival has three special significances. It marks the day Lord Buddha was born, his enlightenment and the attainment of Nirvana upon his death. On this day, Buddhists wear white clothes, visit Viharas for worship and donate alms to monks. Caged animals are bought and set free to display care for all living creatures, as preached by Lord Buddha.
