Art Class & Pot Luck, Saturday, November 13

Hope you're looking forward to our final class of the year, this year one week earlier than usual due to events happening at the church.
The painting we'll be doing this year, as always, is a surprise. You will need a black-gessoed 16 X 20 or an 18 X 24 pre-stretched canvas.
If you don't purchase one already prepared, please arrive a little early so you can prep the canvas prior to class time.
This painting will be done using landscape brushes. Please remember to bring your own brushes, easels, canvases and thinner. I will
have a couple of extra easels and thinner if you don't have your own.
This year for the pot luck, we're going to change it up just a bit. Instead of bringing your favorite prepared dishes, please just bring a
dessert to be shared, or if you prefer, please bring a 2-liter bottle of beverage to share, along with your brown bagged lunch. This year
we'll just set our holiday table with desserts and beverages.
One of the fun activities we do during this November class is to select some of the paintings we'll be doing next year. Remember that
January and July are "Paint Your Choice" months, so if you happen to come upon a painting that you'd like to paint, please make a
note of it so you'll remember in January or July.. I'm also planning to do a few workshop classes next year, so those will also come out
on the schedule you'll receive in January. I will also be expecting some of you to select a few floral paintings to include this coming
year. My books will accompany me to this class so you can venture through them to make your selections for consideration.
We are still social distancing so it is requested that you send me an RSVP so that we know how to set up the classroom as each
person will be painting at a table alone and distanced. Wearing a mask will be left up to each person.

Hey class. Like Suzan, this is the first e-mail I’ve received in a long time and it’s great to hear from you. I miss the class and the wonderful people in it. I remarried five years ago and moved to Orange City, so I’m attending a church up here now. I did lead a small group for a couple of years in my house, but stopped when Covid hit and have not picked it back up again. I hope you all have a great event and pot luck dinner. I would love to remain on your e-mail list so I can keep up with how things are going with the class. I have never forgotten the class and friendships that we had.
