Hi Everyone,
Thank you for praying. Please do not stop. Rachel was sent home again last night even after her GYN, who was in the hospital already to deliver a baby, said he could do a d & c while he was there. But the ER doctor said that she had to wait to see him in his office since her cbc rate was within normal limits.

The ER doc and the discharge nurse treated her as if she was a drug seeker. Even though she never once asked for any medication.

Rachel told me that there was a sign in the room that said patients with medicaid, medicare, and no insurance would be treated enough to be stabilized only. This is ridiculousness at its worse!!!

Rachel absolutely has to be at work when scheduled especially since she will become a regular, full time Whirlpool employee on January 9. So I will be calling her GYN early on Monday morning and imploring them to get her in on Wednesday (her day off).

This cannot wait another month. Please pray that they get her in...and that this stops. I was up most of the night with her on the phone, so I was not able to be in church today.

Thank you all again for your prayers and encouragement,
Ginger Scally

Hi Everyone,
Rachel just called me and she finally has an appointment for Wednesday morning at 8:45. It took quite a lot of back and forth before they set the appointment. The doctor at the ER failed to document properly and had not even indicated that Dr. Ritter was consulted, so Dr. Ritter's office initial told Rachel she had to wait until the January appointment. I had Rachel call them back and tell them to talk with Dr. Ritter personally (he was not in the office today). As soon as he was contacted, he told his nurse to make Rachel's appointment and that she should have been treated in the hospital Saturday night...she was not to wait any longer to get this resolved.

One of the nurses in Dr. Ritter's office told me this morning to tell Rachel that if she couldn't get in for an appointment, to go to the ER and refuse to leave until she was actually treated for the issue, not just stabilized. Go figure...the exact same thing this momma told her daughter on Saturday night.  The sad thing is that it shouldn't take that to get appropriate medical care, so now I will be praying about what God wants us to do about all this; i.e. official complaints, calls to legislators, etc. What about the people who don't have mommas or others to fight for them? I don't want anyone else to have to experience this ludicrousness.

So, thank you all for your prayers and your continued prayers as she still has to make it through to the appointment. I will say that there was more relief in her voice when she called than I have heard since all this started.

Peace and blessings,
Ginger Scally
