Hi Everyone,
My son, Samuel, and his unit leave this evening for Afghanistan. Your continued prayers for their safety is greatly appreciated. That is all I can share about their mission.
For those of you who prayed for Rachel re: the house situation, thank you so much. The former owner agreed to give her one more year to get a mortgage (actually until November 1, 2013). Praise the Lord for that!!!
Also, I would like to let you all know that I have decided to leave the Adventures LIFE group. This is not an easy decision, but one I need to make in order to take care of some things personally. You all, as a group, are full of some amazing potential and I pray that you will tap into it and "grow like weeds" (well, I guess as Christians we grow like branches of vines). Thank you for the wonderful friendships and the many prayers and encouragement that I have received over the past 4 years.
I will still be around First Baptist and look forward to bumping into you all, as well as keeping in touch other ways. I have asked to remain on the e-mail list so that I may keep up with what's happening.
I appreciate your prayers tremendously!!!

I will certainly keep Samuel and his unit in my prayers, am happy for Rachel; also praying you find a LIFE group where you can be nurtured and will grow in the Lord.
