I am on a MacBook Pro. My server appears to start correctly.

However, when I start Minecraft, Choose 1.6.4 and Multiplayer and put in localhost and Join Server I get a Connection Lost - End of Stream message right away. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi,

It looks like you are using the starter kits from the 2nd edition of Adventures in Minecraft which use Minecraft v1.12

You can see this in the log:

Minecraft Server Version is 1.12  

You can use the starter kits from the 2nd edition (in fact I would recommend it). But when you start Minecraft pick version 1.12 rather than 1.6.4.
