Hi Friends,   Hydventura is planning a adventure weekend  in Panchmarhi, Madhya Pradesh on  11-14 Jan, 2013. The name Panchmarhi is believed to be derived from the Hindi words Panch ("five") and Marhi ("caves"). According to a legend, these caves were built by five Pandava brothers of Mahabharatha era during their fourteen years of exile. The caves are situated on a hilltop and provide an excellent vantage point. Panchmarhi is the only hill station in the central region of India. It is situated in the Satpura range and is 3500 ft above sea level. Pachmarhi comes under the Hoshagabad district (Madhya Pradesh) and is called 'Satpura ki Rani' ("Queen of Satpura"). Panchmarhi is a tourist retreat; its elevation from the sea level and the forests of the Satpuras, with their streams and waterfalls, are picturesque and home to much wildlife. Pachmarhi lies within the Pachmarhi Biosphere Preserve, created in 1999 to link two forest reserves and Satpura National Park into a larger wildlife conservation area. It also has Dhupgarh -- the highest point in Central India.   The plan goes like this   10th Jan: [Friday] 22:00 hrs :Train to Nagpur.   11th Jan: [Saturday] 08:30 hrs: Reach Nagpur. 08:45 hrs: Freshen up, & breakfast. 9:00 hrs: Start to Pachmarhi in booked vehicle. 16:00 hrs: Reach Pachmarhi, lunch enroute. 16:30 hrs: Start to explore the near-by view-points. 19:00 hrs: Finish exploring the view-points. Check in to dormitory for night. 20:00 hrs: Dinner time. 21:00 hrs: Play some games (as per team’s interest), & then wish Good Night to each other.   12th  Jan: [Sunday] 06:30 hrs: Start freshening up, & have breakfast. 08:00 hrs: Start to Chauragarh. 12:00 hrs: Reach Chauragarh. Have Packed lunch there. 13:00 hrs: Start trekking back and reach to booked vehicle . 16:00 hrs: Visit the view-points while returning to the hotel. 20:00 hrs: Dinner, while sitting around camp fire. Some fun activities to be followed. 21:30 hrs: Good night.. J   13th Jan: [Monday] 05:00 hrs: Start freshening up, & have breakfast. 06:00 hrs: Start trekking downwards for Dutchess falls. 08:00 hrs: Reach at the falls, Take a bath in the fresh water. 10:00 hrs: Start trekking to Sundar Kund, have a view of it & have packed lunch there. 14:00 hrs: Start climbing up the falls. 15:00 hrs: Reach at the top, enjoy the view, & have some rest. 7.      15:30 hrs: Visit some view-points and go to Dhupgarh for sunset point.(Nice place for photographers) 19:00 hrs: Return to Hotel, freshen up. Have dinner. 20:00 hrs: Some fun time.. J 21:30 hrs: Good night.. J   14th Jan: [Tuesday] 06:00 hrs: Start freshening up, & have breakfast. 07:30 hrs: Start for Bee Fall. 09:00 hrs: Reach Bee-Fall, enjoy the falls, have a  dip in the falls. 11:00 hrs: Return to the top of the falls. Have Lunch. 12:00 hrs: Start back to Nagpur. 21:00 hrs: Reach Nagpur, have Dinner. 22:00 hrs: Board the Train to Hyderabad.         15th  Jan: [Wednesday]         1.    08:30 hrs: reach Hyderabad.   Things to carry: 1. Rucksack/ backpack, with rain cover 2. A few plastic covers to keep items dry. 3. Cotton Shirt & Pant – jeans is NOT a good idea. 4. Hunter Shoe / Trekking Shoe with extra socks – slippers/ floaters are NOT a good idea. 5. Slippers/ floaters  required for night. 6. Torch. Also, 1 or 2 candles and matches (inside a waterproof cover). 7. Water Bottle min (2 lt) 8. Toilet kit 9. (Camera/Binocular- OPTIONAL) 10. First – Aid kit, any specific medicines you need. 11. Traveller’s/Swiss knife ..If you have one 12. Carry Identification card   Note: Pl. do not expect luxury during the Trip. This is an exploratory trek, and we expect things to go wrong. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non smokers. Strictly no plastics to be thrown. This Trip is open for Infosys and Non-Infoscions as well. Last date for nomination is th 16th Dec by 4:00 PM (Strictly).  Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen] 6.      If you have any doubts  U can reach me on 9052529918.   Difficulty: Moderate Approximate cost of the Trip : Rs 5,500.00/-(HYD – HYD) and Rs 4500/- (Nagpur – Nagpur). ·          HydVentura is an unofficial Adventure club initiated by a few likeminded folks from the Infosys- Hyderabad DC . Infosys is in no way related to the activities being organized by the club .
