Hi Friends,   Hydventura is planning a scenic trek to Narsimha Parvat over a span of 2 days (February 8th – 9th) near Mangalore, Karnataka.   Narasimha parvatha peak comes under Kuduremukh national park. This is highest peak in Agumbe region. Hight of the peak is 1150mts from sea level. It is also known as the Agumbe peak.     The plan goes like this   31st January: [Friday] 17:45 hrs: Bus to Udupi, Karnataka.    1st February: [Saturday] 07:00 hrs: Reach Udupi. Some freshen up there, if required. 07:30 hrs: Travel to Agumbe in the public transport available from here.. 10:00 hrs: Reach the base location, Malandur, Agumbe. 10:10 hrs: Breakfast time. Also, get packed lunch from here. 11:00 hrs: Start trekking to the scenic Narsimha Parvat, or Agumbe Peak. 14:00 hrs: Reach Barkana water falls. Have some rest here. Have lunch here. 15:00 hrs: Continue the trek towards the peak. 18:00 hrs: Reach the peak. Enjoy the views. 19:00 hrs: Prepare for night stay, under the stars/in the tents. Explore the place & collect wood for the camp fire. 20:00 hrs: Dinner time. 20:30 hrs: Play some games, around the camp-fire (subject to availability). Sleep after that.           2nd February: [Sunday] 07:00 hrs: Good morning. Get freshen up. 08:00 hrs: Breakfast. 08:30 hrs: Click come memories, & explore the peak well. Also wrap up the camping site. 09:00 hrs: Start trekking down to Kigga. 14:00 hrs: Reach Kigga, finish trek here. Get freshen up here. 14:30 hrs: Have the lunch at Kigga. 15:30 hrs: Travel back to Udupi, in the public transport available. 17:00 hrs: Reach Udupi. Bid goodbye to each other, & board our respective buses.   3rd February: [Monday] 06:00 hrs: Reach Hyderabad.         Things to carry: 1. Rucksack/ backpack. 2. Sleeping bag. 3. Shoes with good grip. 4. A few plastic covers to keep items dry. 5. Slippers/ floaters for using in night. 6. Torch. 7. Water Bottle min (2 lt) 8. Toilet kit 9. Camera/Binocular- OPTIONAL 10. First – Aid kit, any specific medicines you need. 11. Traveller’s/Swiss knife ..If you have one. 12. Carry Identification card.   Note: Pl. do not expect any luxury during the Trip. This is an exploratory trek, and we expect things to go wrong. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non-smokers. Strictly no plastics to be thrown. This Trip is open for Infosys and Non-Infoscions as well. Last date for nomination is 24th January by 4:00 PM (Strictly).  Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen]. The cost mentioned below included all expenses, except the emergencies. However, for folks coming from other locations (except Hyderabad), transportation cost will be additional, & will be arranged only when asked.
