How do you picture God?
Does this image have more in common with Santa Claus or with Jesus?

I definitely don't think of God as Santa. And since Jesus is God, my
image has those two together.
My experiences as a parent have helped define my image of God. I do
not see God as someone who creates hardships for me to endure. I see
God as someone who always and forever cheers me on. Life is tough all
by itself, God helps me through. God wants the best for me and would
never "abuse" me only to turn around and offer his help to get me
through the pain. My image of God is of Jesus.

I think that is very beautiful and well put.

When I close my eyes and think of God the Father and Jesus I get
rather vivid images for both. For some reason God is a man to me. An
older Grandpa type man with big, strong hands and broad shoulders. I
have a little different image of Jesus, he is a tall and slender
father type and has a full beard. Jesus is always in a white t-shirt,
khaki cargo pants and leather sandals in my mind. A younger version of
God the Father...
