Dear Elder Wilson,
This is our last effort to ask for your help to eradicate the corruption of sin from the church that has been rooted within Indonesia for more than the past 25 years.
The last time I shared with you the pervasive fornications and corruptions that are rampant amongst the ministers in both Union offices in Indonesia (March 3rd, 2021). However, until today, nobody seems to care and nothing has been done to address these problems.
None of these ministers have been fired as we have done in the US. Instead, they continue to work as if nothing ever happened, and have encouraged younger ministers to follow in their same path of sin.
And today, the situation is worse than ever.
We have found four separate incidents of pastors having sex with underage children thus far. Out of these four pedophile cases, only one is in jail. The others have been protected by either their Conference Director or the Union President. We believe we are just looking at the tip of the iceberg.
These pedophiles continue to work in the church or have returned and go on as if nothing has ever happened.
We have also been told that a young minister had witnessed the sodomized act of his senior pastor in Central Sumatra. He reported this to his Conference President, only to have this act covered up in order to protect this homosexual minister who remains married with his normal wife. This homosexual minister was later transferred to West Java Conference to cover up the problem, where he is to this day.
So, my question is, are you interested to stop allowing these egregious sins against our children and church or, like the Catholic church, we will all be witnessing a spectacle of media exposure about Indonesia, in the Philippines and in the US and the rest of the world in regards to these pedophiles and the massive corruptions, fornications and degradation of faith among church leaders that you have failed to address in the past 30 years?
Let us know which options you want to choose.
In conclusion, we as SDA church in Indonesia are on the road of systemic and systematic destruction of the Seventh Day Adventist as a church in Indonesia by our leaders in both Unions, including officers in Division level such as J. Lubis, S. Saw, M. Langi, W. Mandolang, K Castillo and the GCAS team. By failing to address these massive problems, you are condoning it.
Finally, may I say this to those SSD officers who have been responsible for what is happening in Indonesia, but choose to do nothing because of their financial welfare from Indonesia: “May God have mercy on you”. The handwriting on the wall is clear: Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin. (Daniel 5:25)
